A engineering consultancy firm specializing in Gulf-region (UAE) projects is expanding its operations. We are establishing a state-of-the-art engineering back-office in the Delta region and seeking a highly competent, leadership-driven Technical Office Manager / Team Leader. In this role, you will be the cornerstone of our new office—founding, managing, and mentoring a multidisciplinary team of engineers (Structural, Architectural, and MEP). Your primary goal will be to oversee the production of flawless design packages, shop drawings, and coordinated layouts for major projects in the UAE and the broader GCC market, ensuring strict adherence to international standards and project timelines. Key Responsibilities: Team Leadership & Establishment: Manage and direct the daily operations of the technical office; distribute workloads, and participate in interviewing and hiring new engineering talents to build the team. Technical Review & Quality Control: Review, check, and approve all engineering designs, detailed shop drawings, and calculation sheets before final submission. Multidisciplinary Coordination: Oversee comprehensive clash detection and interdisciplinary coordination (Structural, Architectural, and MEP) to deliver fully integrated project models. Project & Time Management: Develop technical office schedules, monitor progress against project milestones, and ensure all deliverables meet strict submission deadlines. Client & Management Reporting: Act as the primary technical point of contact with the upper management, delivering regular progress reports and technical solutions. Requirements & Qualifications: Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Architectural Engineering from a reputable university. Experience: 8 to 12 years of solid experience in technical office work and design engineering. GCC Market Expertise (Critical): Proven track record working on UAE or GCC-based projects, with an in-depth understanding of Gulf building codes, authority regulations, and submission standards. Software Proficiency: Advanced, expert-level command of AutoCAD, and a profound understanding of the Revit / BIM workflow environment for project delivery and management. Leadership Skills: Strong managerial personality with excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills. Location: Permanent residency in or willingness to commute daily to Tanta, Al-Mahalla, or Mansoura. Language: Fluent in English (written and spoken) for drafting technical reports and communicating project requirements.
