2GB of DDR3 RAM from Kingston, it's original. 2gb isn't exactly much for almost any computer out there today and that applies for the last 11 years or so. even in 2015, 2gb is barley enough to run you windows Vista and 7. it's the best fit for windows XP in your school computer or work computer since those would probably only need to run Microsoft WordPad and Excel
sidenote, if you're thinking of buying this to add it to your two 4gb ddr3 ram, you have to note that your ram on your computer preferably has to be either 2 or 4 sticks at a time. because if you have 2 ram only then your computer can use their max speed, if it has 4 then it can also use the full speed of all 4 ram sticks, if it has an uneven number like 3 ram sticks from different brands and different capacity. it still would use it but it will be slightly slower as your computer uses technology called dual channel which allows your computer to use the even numbers of ram as fast as it can. but with uneven numbers of ram sticks like 3, with different brands and different capacities. it can't use dual channel to use the ram at it's fastest speed so it uses it at a lower speed. lower speeds are more stable so if all you care about is capacity rather than jow fast your ram loads your browser tabs and WordPad pages. this is probably the exact thing you'd want to buy
