Description

Import specialist. Job responsibilities: • Responsible for the whole import process, starting from placing an order and until the goods reach our warehouse including (shipping process, dealing with the shipping companies to get the best rate, clearance process, dealing with the bank in legalization process, dealing with the insurance company) • Administer all credit letters and process to ensure smooth transactions for all exporters. • Maintain knowledge on all rules and regulations of import processes and ensure efficient transmission of all import goods and prepare and complete all purchase orders and ensure accuracy of all documents. • Ensure compliance of all goods and documents to all Customs rules and The General Organization for Export & Import Control (GOEIC) rules and regulations. • Manage communication with our suppliers and ensure the continuity of our good relationship. • Be aware of all new regulations concerning the import process and obtain up to date information regularly. • Evaluate various documents and commercial invoices and ensure compliance to all regulations and prepare documents for all shipments and obtain required approvals. • Communicate with the sales team and give them all required information about special orders. The applicant should be aware of the following: • The import process • The regulations of import from different origins • The required documents and customs clearance regulations • The bank requirements and procedures for import • LC process and procedures • Shipping process and requirements • The status of foreign currency • Raw materials prices • The applicant should be fluent in English. • The applicant should be detail oriented.
